How to Crush In the Kitchen: Vegetable Edition

Welcome to Adulting: You should be eating your “green shit”, aka MF Veggies on the daily. Micronutrients (in terms of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants) are muy importante to a happy & healthy body. 1-2 cups of veggies at each meal would be a solid start.

If you really want to get hipster, there’s SO much new research supporting sprouts (broccoli sprouts, radish sprouts, clover sprouts, etc) being FANTASTIC for hormone health. Cruciferous vegetable like brussels, broccoli, broccolini, & cauliflower are fantastic for helping naturally balance hormones as well.

Level up your vegetable intake and level up your health. Not a fan of vegetables? Often times if we don’t like something, it’s a matter of how we’re cooking it. Hopefully, these tips help you up the ante in the kitchen & put you one step forward to Top Chef status!

Roast That Shizz:
⚡️Rinse veggies, trim stems, & chop into bite-size pieces
⚡️Toss lightly in olive oil (or coconut oil)
⚡️Preheat oven to 375-400 degrees
⚡️Line a baking sheet or pan in foil
⚡️Spread out veggies
⚡️Cook 15-20 minutes or until vegetables are brightly colored and fork tender
⚡️Sprinkle and toss with garlic powder, onion powder, Himalayan pink salt, Trader Joes’s Everything But the Bagel Seasoning

Saute That Shizz:
⚡️Rinse veggies, trim stems, & chop into bite-size pieces
⚡️Lightly grease skillet with coconut oil
⚡️Heat pan to medium-high heat
⚡️Add veggies, copiously season with spices & add herbs
⚡️Cook 8-10 minutes or until vegetables are brightly colored & fork-tender

Grill That Shizz:
⚡️Rinse, trim stems, & chop into long strips, or pieces big enough to not fall through grill
⚡️Lightly coat in olive oil
⚡️Grill 5-10 minutes or until tender & slightly charred
⚡️Want grill marks? Try not to shift veggies much once on grill

Nuke That Shizz:
⚡️Short on time? Too lazy to cook? Microwave veggies are still better than no veggies. Buy organic veggies & heat according to bag instructions
⚡️Copiously season with spices and herbs
